Every human is limited in his or her capacity and gravitates towards things he or she grasps more than the other. It is humanly impossible to be everything to every one and to keep up with everything that is going on.

Republican Hypocisy on Government Meddling

As a Republican Moderate,  I am amazed at the hypocrisy of our party, we want government out of people's life, yet we blatantly meddle with them, we want to dictate who can marry who and even in extreme situations we are opposed to abortion.  I wonder, why our media has not questioned about it. Well, I am going to do that.

One World

Our combined philosophies believe in one world ; Hinduism describes the world as Vasudaiva Kutumbukum, the whole world is one family, the idea of Ek Onkar(one) in Sikhism, you are all created from the same couple as Quraan puts it and Jesus embraced every one regardless of who any one is... similar philosophies are grounded in all our religions.

God, what is he?

We are Adivasis, Atheists, Baha’is, Bos, Buddhists, Christians, Dalits, Hindus, Jains, Jewish, Muslim, Sikhs, Tribals, Zoroastrians and every possible grouping. We are Brown, Black, White, Yellow and green with envy and phir bhi dil hai Hindustani (our heart remains Indian).

We see God as one, none and many; and in every form; male, female, genderless and non-existent, being and non-being, nameless and with innumerable names.

Good for nothing majority

We simply cannot stereo type the whole population based on a few intolerant judgmental men out there. Just like the good for nothing silent majority of Jews, Christians, Muslims or Hindus; and Americans, Indians or Chinese, the Pakistani Muslims Majority is another good for nothing lot, don't have the balls to speak up. We must encourage the good people to start speaking up and bring about a positive change where no Pakistani has to live in apprehension, discomfort or fear of the other Pakistani.

Biggest Victim of Bad Economy

The biggest victim of the bad economy is our attitude. It is tearing the social fabric of America. Our belief in "live and let live" has become corrosive, and we have let a few politicians shamelessly divide us.

Purpose of Religion

Mike Ghouse founded the Foundation for pluralism with a belief that if we can learn to accept the otherness of other, and respect the God given uniqueness of each one of us, then conflicts fade and solutions emerge.


He believes that the un-stated purpose of religion is to bring a balance to an individual and equilibrium with what surrounds him/her; life and matter. To be religious is to mitigate conflicts and nurture goodwill in creating a cohesive society where every member of the society feels at home, free from anxiety, tension and fear of the other.


Religions are inherently pluralistic as their goal is invariably to create harmonious co-existence. It is one world, one society and a part of singular universal energy. Indeed, we are not mutually exclusive but inclusive and fit in the scheme of things to make one coherent whole.

Honor Killing not a Muslim exclusive

There is a shameful violence against women, as Muslims we need to fix our problems first but we should not give it an aura that it is an exclusively a Muslim problem, it is not. Honesty does not mean beating ourselves up, it means recognizing the universality of the problem and finding solutions.

Stereotyping - A contagious disease

When someone “blames” a group of people for a certain act of an individual or a band, a few will quickly add spice to it, it almost sounds like dogs joining in for a barking ceremony. It is quick to stereotype Arabs, Jews, Americans, Germans, French, Indian, Hindus, Muslims, Christians or Iranians etc. Thanks to Google, the disease of stereotyping can be contained. Just Google it and find freedom

Controlling others

The urge to control stems from insecurity in ourselves, and in our inability to handle an outcome we cannot cope with. Freedom on the other hand is nurtured, where you accept the outcomes, you accept the otherness of other and feel complete...ly at ease with oddities of life.

In the process, your seem to lose things, in reality you don't - if it is not yours and you take it through control, undue influence or a trade, you always worry about losing. Why have it then?

Cohesive Functioning

We have to consciously create institutions and systems that will become a catalyst to a positive change and bring about cohesive functioning of the society.

Drake, I have pondered over this all my life - and comfortable with the belief that God is no more than our conscience; I read heaven and hell as sernity and anguish.

Religions are pluralistic by design

All faiths welcome the strangers, it is a tradition built in all religions.You may feel more at home the way Muslims worship, which is akin to meditation where there is no object of worship but the invisible, intangilbe, formless, energy is honored and sought to be in tune with it.

Indeed, that is the real bottom line in all faiths.

Pakistan Independence day

I wish a very happy Pakistan Independence day to all my Pakistani friends.

Now, it is your turn to bring independence to the millions who are going through trauma from the floods. My prayers to all those who have lost their lives and pray for the survivors to trust in the almighty for help to come.

We the people of the subcontinent also need to gain freedom from bias towards each other on religious, nationalistic or ethnic basis. We need to be free and achieve the Mukti, Nijaat, Nirvana, Moksha, Salvation and real freedom from our own littleness.
